You are invited to the second “Music in the Garden” event at the Green Garden Café, right next to Old Town Center for the Arts, at 5th Street and Main, in Old Town Cottonwood. On Saturday, May 2nd at 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM, come enjoy the ambiance of a garden setting with the healing music of flutist Sunny Heartley.

Sunny Heartley is a composer, multi-instrumentalist, recording engineer, and craftsman of his own line of Native American Flutes, which he uses exclusively on his solo recordings. His line of handcrafted wooden flutes includes a ‘Chakra’ flute, which he uses as a sound healing instrument.

Sunny has composed and recorded 14 CD projects over the last 10 years of his solo career. His CD's are used by massage therapists, yoga instructors and dance DJ's, and he recently gained national recognition, receiving a Peoples Choice Award for “Best New Healing CD", at the International New Age Trade Show.

The event is free. Guests are encouraged to discover the outstanding fresh organic food, smoothies, juices and teas prepared by Chef Francisco, new owner of the Green Garden Cafe, and a former chef of Enchantment Resort and the Hilton in the Village of Oak Creek. Francisco’s new menu features vegetarian and non-vegetarian selections.

This “Music in the Garden” event will be the second in a series of lunch-time music and art expressions. OTCA is dedicated to supporting local artists and arts organizations. If you’re a visitor to the area, return to OTCA for a special evening performance of ARC that features Native American Artists Gabriel Ayala (guitar), Vince Redhouse (flute), and Will Clipman (percussion).

The Green Garden Café is located in an historic cottage at 5th Street and Main in Old Town Cottonwood, and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner on event nights at OTCA.
