A multi-cultural musical experience fusing Gypsy, Middle Eastern, Celtic, Greek & Turkish styles with Rock

Traveler is a unique Celtic band with world influences from their many travels. They brilliantly keep their audiences engaged as they journey through tales of songs from Scotland and Ireland. Traveler has performed at festivals throughout the U.S., Canada, Turkey, and the U.K. mesmerizing audiences with their high energy performances.

Extremely talented and always entertaining, the high-energy multi-instrumentalists of Traveler always deliver a unique and engaging St. Patrick’s Celebration Concert. This is your chance to see them live on Friday, March 15th at the Old Town Center for the Arts. This performance will get you on your feet and cheering for more.

Traveler’s sound is an innovative new fusion of World Music and Rock. Using traditional ethnic instruments combined with all the power of a full blown rock band, their performances are intense, exotic and adrenaline-driven.

Scott Jeffers is composer and band leader; he has traveled extensively through foreign lands to gather inspiration for the Traveler project. Composing most of his songs while surrounded by the people, sounds, sights, smells and landscapes of these far away places brings a true authenticity to the fusion. Known for his fiery and passionate violin and vocal performances, Scott’s commanding presence onstage adds to the trademark power of the live Traveler shows. He also brings traditional instruments from his journeys to the stage: Turkish oud, Moroccan loutar that are ancient predecessors to the guitar, bouzouki, a traditional Greek stringed instrument, and most recently a Moroccan sheep horn.

The real magic of a Traveler concert is in the connection the band makes with the audience. They give a high energy, passionate performance that draws the audience in, perhaps by the combination of the cultural connection people have to the ethnic sounds of their own heritage and this music that is so unique. Whatever their reason, people are always moved to their feet, and drawn closer to the stage to be part of the experience.

Come hear this unique blend of traditional eastern influences and western rock, as they celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. You will enjoy and remember their mesmerizing stage presence and a musical virtuosity seldom seen.

“I have had the pleasure of working with Scott Jeffers and Traveler on a variety of events, ranging from a single night, sold out concert, to a holiday festival spanning the entire month of December. . . . Extremely talented and always entertaining, these high-energy multi-instrumentalists always deliver a unique and engaging show, leaving the audience on their feet and cheering for more.”
- Sara Zeck, Former Special Events Coordinator, Desert Botanical Garden, Phoenix, AZ:

“Scott Jeffers and his group, Traveler turned out to be the biggest hit of the first annual Prescott Celtic Festival . . . They have amazing energy onstage and are true showmen. They had the audience enthralled the entire time.”
- David McNabb, Director, Prescott Celtic Festival

“We are so grateful that Traveler was able to perform here at the Tanana Valley State Fair this year! My only regret is that they were only here for 2 days; we were asked about them constantly for the remaining 7 days of the Fair, and I have no doubt they would have played to packed audiences every day if we had been able to keep them here longer! Their music is a GREAT fit for Alaska, and I saw a wide range of folks enjoying the performances. We would definitely entertain the idea of having them return, even though we generally work with In State performers for our Fair!”
- Randi Carnahan Tanana Valley State Fair, Fairbanks, Alaska
