Enchilada Dada and Paul From Breakfast Team Up for a Wild Halloween Night of Improv Comedy & Absurdist Art
This Halloween, Verde Valley residents looking for an unconventional, thrilling, and hilarious night out are invited to a special Halloween Night Concert at the Old Town Center for the Arts on Saturday, October 31 at 7:00 PM. The evening will feature two of Flagstaff's most beloved and highly entertaining performance groups: the neo-Dada performance troupe Enchilada Dada and the improv comedy ensemble Paul From Breakfast.
The concert is sponsored by Best Western Cottonwood Inn.
Promising a spectacular mix of avant-garde theater, surreal comedy, and boundary-pushing performance art, this double-feature event is set to be a fun-filled local Halloween ‘treat.’
Hailing from nearby Flagstaff, Enchilada Dada is a captivating neo-Dada performance troupe that effectively blends absurdist art with razor-sharp, poignant moments of realism. Audiences have come to know the group for their entirely unique shows infused with dreamlike, surreal humor, having been described as “part fever dream and part comedic séance.” Their experimental style challenges traditional storytelling, turning the stage into a canvas of beautiful, thought-provoking chaos that fits perfectly with the spirit of Halloween night. For Halloween, Enchilada Dada invites you into the darker corners of the imagination, where ordinary stories become spellbinding, the mundane becomes monstrous, and someone will inevitably share a deep truth.
Sharing the bill is Paul From Breakfast, another celebrated staple of the Flagstaff performing arts community. As an improv comedy ensemble known for its lightning-fast wit and creative spontaneity, Paul From Breakfast offers a comedic journey that defies convention. Their performances are bold, bizarre, and original, consistently pushing the limits of standard long-form and short-form improv. Entirely unscripted, Paul From Breakfast brings an engaging and unpredictable edge to the stage, ensuring that no two performances are ever alike. You may find yourself wondering, who is Paul? Was there ever a Breakfast? To answer those questions, you must see the show on Halloween Night!
Together, these two powerhouses will deliver an immersive performance experience that bridges the worlds of high-energy comedy and experimental theater. As acclaimed fixtures of the local improv and arts scene, both groups consistently present performances where every moment is full of surprise and awe. Attendees should prepare themselves to be taken on a wild journey filled with spontaneous laughter, improv comedy horror, and neo-Dada absurdist performance art. It an excellent alternative holiday celebration for anyone looking to experience the creative talent that Flagstaff's underground art scene has to offer. It is recommended to get tickets early for this Halloween Special Event.
