Dance Elementals: Flow
4 Week Fusion Belly Dance Series
Instructor: Nicola Emerald
$25 for drop ins
$85 for the series
Calling all dancers! Whether you are a beginner or intermediate dancer, you are invited to come train with me in my comprehensive four week belly dance training reset. We will learn the foundational isolation forms of fusion belly dance as well as explore the strength, flexibility and conditioning that is essential for a well rounded dance practice and dance life.
Dance Elementals Flow series is all about revitalizing your Inner Spark. I am delighted to share my beginner friendly introduction to fusion belly dance and my movement methodology, The Elemental Embodiment Method, fusing my years of training and practice into a cohesive program designed to strengthen and awaken the life force of each dancer, using the elements of Nature as thematic guides.
Finding Flow is the introductory series to my Dance Elementals format, designed to cultivate body awareness, expand inner radiance and unblock creative life force flow. In this series I introduce the fundamental belly dance forms that we build upon each week, along with ballet and yoga techniques to strengthen and open the body, mind, spirit and to build stamina. By the end of the series we have a working dance vocabulary to move and express from, and our inner radiance aligned to blossom fully into Summer.

About the Instructor: Nicola Emerald
My path to dance began as an athlete, a state champion tennis player in my teenage years. I found my way to yoga in the nineties and fell in love with the practice, receiving my Yoga Alliance teacher training in Iyengar yoga in 1999 from Lex Gillan. Teaching yoga for fifteen years, I was profoundly shaped by this transformational discipline and lineage that still lies at the core essence of my teachings.
Expanding my exploration of movement, I delved into Pilates, barre methodologies, ballet technique, breath-work, and meditation.
Eventually, I found my calling in fusion belly dance and aerial arts. I have been privileged to study with some of the most influential figures in fusion belly dance, including Rachel Brice, Tiare Tashnick, and Zoe Jakes. I have completed Levels I and II of Rachel Brice's 8 Elements™ certification program, which offers a comprehensive approach to belly dance, focusing on technique, musicality, and personal development.
Currently, I am engaged in Zoe Jakes' DanceCraft training, a multi-tiered program emphasizing fusion belly dance fundamentals and artistic expression. As a performer, I perform with Hydrangea Sky Movement Arts in Cottonwood, showcasing both belly dance and aerial arts. |
