Zenprov Comedy Saturday, February 14, 2026, 7:00 PM $20 Door $18 Advanced General Seating $25 Priority Seating in first 3 rows Tickets will be available soon.
Is laughter the ultimate aphrodisiac? Find out at Zenprov Comedy’s completely improvised show “A Comedy of Eros!” on Saturday, Feb. 14 at 7:00 PM at the Old Town Center for the Arts in Cottonwood. “Valentine’s Day is our favorite show of the year,” said Dujardin, director of Zenprov Comedy. “We’ll interview a random couple from the audience about how they met. Then we’ll embellish their love story with improvised scenes that may or may not have happened during their early romance, complete with friends, exes, and a dramatic first kiss. We’ll also perform The Dating Game, but the bachelors are a Greek god, a famous self-help book come to life, and an overly confident garden tool.” The show’s title is inspired by Shakespeare’s A Comedy of Errors, and the troupe will attempt a short, improvised one-act play performed entirely in the Bard’s tongue, complete with Shakespearean themes and pathos audiences may recognize. “Both Nick Shank and Nathaniel Montgomery from our troupe are big Shakespeare buffs, so we thought it would be fun to try something richly challenging,” said Dujardin. With close to two decades of performances, Zenprov Comedy is a local favorite that taps into the rich source material that comes from living in a place steeped in spiritual seeking, UFOs, vortexes, self-help gurus, radical vegans, and confused tourists lost in roundabouts. Zenprov’s otherworldly performances explore inventive satire and cosmic giggles. If you’ve never been to one of their live performances before, Zenprov Comedy is similar to the popular improvised TV show “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” The troupe performs a mix of fast-paced improvised scenes created in the moment based on audience suggestions, along with Chicago-style long-form improv, where scenes and characters interconnect. Unlike sketch or stand-up comedy, nothing is scripted or prepared ahead of time, so it’s never the same show twice. This show is likely to sell out, so be sure to reserve tickets ahead of time. Please note the show is rated PG-13, with one or two spicier moments thrown in. |
