Harp Guitarist and Fingerstyle Guitar Champion

One of the world’s foremost fingerstyle guitarists and harp-guitarists, Muriel Anderson continues to thrill audiences with her unique and joyous style. Muriel Anderson will perform for one night only, at the Old Town Center for the Arts, Saturday, January 31st, at 7:00 PM.

For this unforgettable ‘multi-media’ concert at OTCA Muriel Anderson will take you on a journey through many countries with her 20-string harp-guitar enhanced by a backdrop of visuals by Bryan Allen, artfully projected onto a screen behind her.

A guitarist, harp-guitarist, and composer, Muriel Anderson embraces music from all over the world in a stunning array of styles expertly performed with a sense of grace and joy. Muriel is considered a virtuoso of the 20-string harp-guitar, yet it is her gentle sense of humor and uplifting melodies that leave her audience smiling. The first woman to win the National Fingerstyle Guitar Championship, Muriel has been listed among the top ten female guitarists in the world. Guitar Player Magazine lists her as one of the 50 noteworthy guitarists of all time.

Muriel has recorded with country legend Chet Atkins, and performed & recorded with Les Paul, Victor Wooten, Tommy Emmanuel, the Nashville Chamber Orchestra, and countless other greats in Muriel Anderson’s ALL STAR GUITAR NIGHT® over 30+ years.

Muriel’s CD Nightlight Daylight placed first in its category in 11 national awards, followed by AcousticChef, an international CD with accompanying cookbook. For her recent release Sailing Dreams, she has created a board game to accompany the music. Her open-heartedness extends beyond her music, as she founded the Music for Life Alliance to help foster music education for kids.

Acoustic guitarist Muriel Anderson… has justifiably gained a reputation as one of the world’s best, and most versatile, guitar instrumentalists.
