To’Ree’Nee Wolf, Heidi Wilson, Saturday, November 14, 7:00 pm $15 adv, $18 door, $20 priority
Temenos Quartet plays original New World Music: with intelligent and emotionally evocative lyrics set to an eclectic array of irresistible trance-dance grooves, this is musical medicine for the mind and spirit, guaranteed to entertain, energize and enlighten audiences of all ages. As Amo likes to say: your soul will groove and your body will move! What’s with the name, you ask? The word temenos is of ancient Greek origin, and refers to a sacred grove where members of a community may gather to refresh their creative energies free from the distractions of everyday life. Found and filed away for future use years ago by To’Ree’Nee, the formation of this new band on offered the perfect opportunity to coin the name. On many levels, Temenos Quartet embodies the ideal of equality that its music expresses so joyously. The artistic adventurousness and social awareness of Temenos Quartet is a perfect match for the positive vibration and aesthetic perfection of Old Town Center for the Arts. This don’t-miss show promises to be one of the highlights of OTCA’s fall season. Paper tickets will be available in our ticket outlets at least 2 weeks in advance of an event. |
