The Thematics will rock the house at the Old Town Center for the Arts in Cottonwood on Friday, November 5th at 7:30pm. This collaboration of five mainstay performers from the Sedona Performers Guild includes Dan Bresnan (Bresnan Guitars), Chris Seymour (The Heavenly J’s), Rick Cyge (Meadowlark), Robert "Wing" Ryan (Amitabha) and "Hutch" Hutchinson (The Heavenly J’s).
What audiences are delivered in the 1950‘s review will knock your socks off! Covering music originally performed by such greats as the Everly Brothers, Elvis, Chuck Berry, Buddy Holly and Bobby Darin, the group delivers an amazingly authentic sound with expertise and finesse, right down to the oohs and sha- na-na s; familiar vocal harmonies that take you right back to earlier times and places; to fond memories and remembered dreams.
Don’t miss this nostalgic journey! But wait there’s more. Vintage photos from the 50’s will provide the virtual set design for The Thematics, with brilliant color photos to illuminate your memories, or take you time traveling to an era before you were born. The beginning of hip and cool – you’ll have an opportunity to revisit the birth of rock & roll and what we’ve all been listening to for the past 60 years. Oh, yea, this’ll be cherry, sha la la la la.
