Caravan Dreams
Northern Arizona Student Dance Showcase
Sun, Nov 14, 2:00 pm
$5 advance, $5 door
On Sunday, Nov 14th at 2PM, teachers and students of Middle Eastern Dance Arts in Northern Arizona gather in the spirit of community, to present “Caravan Dreams” a regional student showcase show featuring a variety of styles of middle-eastern dance. The show will be held at the Old Town Center for the Arts Theater in Cottonwood, Arizona. Tickets are $5 and the show is open to the public.
Caravan Dreams commemorates the largest regional student showcase show to ever happen in Northern Arizona. Born from the collaboration of the Regions professional dancers and instructors, “Our mission is to raise awareness of middle-eastern dance arts in our community and to present student dancers with opportunities to perform in a supportive theater environment”, states organizer Carrie Konyha.
Dancers from Flagstaff, Prescott, Sedona, Clarkdale & Cottonwood will proudly be representing many of the bellydance communities in our region. Represented in this showcase, will be the students of teachers: Andrea Radoccia and Jacqueline Pace Vincent of Blue Dragon, Hillary Giovale of Al Haqiqah, Morgiana of Egyptian Cartouche, and Carrie Konyha of White Lotus. The performers will be demonstrating the skills and performing dances they have been working on in class for the past year.
The show is family friendly and appropriate for children. Students performing in the show range in age from 14 up into the 60’s. “We encourage the community to come and see what we are all about. There are many gifted professional performers and instructors in Northern Arizona that are available for teaching classes & performing at community events” explains Carrie.
Don’t miss this opportunity to see these beautiful dancers, performing on Sunday, November 14th at 2pm at the Old Town Center for the Arts.
Tickets are available online at showtix4u.com
