Are you ready to experience one of the happiest and most lighthearted 90 minutes of theatre you have ever experienced! With Over 200 laughs, 23 classic comedians, all from one performer on stage, Old Town Center for the Arts is pleased to present Brad Zinn in “The Great Comedians.”

This special world class event is coming to OTCA on Saturday, January 22nd, at 7:00 pm. On Sunday, January 23, at 3:00 PM, Brad Zinn brings, for the first time, a special Comedy Magic Show for all ages.

And there’s more! Brenda Zinn will also offer an intriguing performance of Vaudeville-style Sand Painting as a pre-show warm-up. This classic art form has not been seen in over two generations. Brenda will give this special presentation at both shows.

Brad Zinn began his acting career at the age of five and his four decades of stage experience are showcased in The Great Comedians, a completely unique and unforgettable presentation.

A serious fan himself, Brad spent more than two years researching and writing this one man play, which recreates classic performances and routines of some of world’s greatest comedians. He has performed this play for more than five years to international critical and audience acclaim.

For 35 years Brad has toured all over North America and entertained from Canada to the Caribbean and from Hollywoods Magic Castle to The Strip in Las Vegas.

He has worked with such celebrities as; Dick Van Dyke, Lynda Carter (Wonder Woman), Shirley Jones, Richard Crenna, Harry Anderson, Cliff Robertson, Damon Wayans, Paul Rodriguez and many others.

The central theme of The Great Comedians is one man’s childhood journey to becoming an entertainer, inspired by the Golden Age of Television, and the veteran entertainers who populated the airwaves.

Brad lovingly and authentically keeps alive the high traditions of the original creators of American humor, such as Johnny Carson, Will Rogers, George Burns, Jack Benny, W.C. Fields, Groucho Marx, Red Skelton and many more.

The show is more than just laughs, though. Brad reveals the warm wit, wisdom, and life-affirming philosophies that elevated these performers into permanent icons of American culture. And along with the generous portions of comedy the show also includes music, juggling, magic, rope spinning, and audience participation.

One reviewer remarked, after seeing The Great Comedians and Brad’s impersonations of Johnny Carson, George Burns, Jack Benny, Red Skelton, Will Rogers, and all the others, “You’ll believe in reincarnation.”

‘The Great Comedians’ celebrates the diversity of American pop culture humor of the 20th Century. The show bridges generations with hilarity and clean, timeless fun. The play has been received by a multigenerational audience, and parents and grandparents alike are encouraged to bring your kids and grandkids. There is simply no other one-man show like this. If the world ever needed a few good clean laughs, it’s now.

On Sunday, January 23rd, Brad Zinn will present his Comedy Magic Show, a high energy exercise in pure entertainment, that’s designed for the whole family. From start to finish, Brad involves the audience in the magic and the laughs.

The show's high point is a tribute to Houdini complete with audience participation, comedy, and an inspirational - motivational message delivered with a light touch. Other segments include an hilarious Handy Dandy Home Kitchen Vege-Magic demonstration.

William Eaton, Co-Director of Old Town Center for the Arts commented, “Brad’s shows sold out last year. People just raved about him. We’ll keep bringing him back. Brad is definitely worth seeing more than once. It feels good to laugh, and besides, these shows perfectly fit our theme this year: ‘take some time to have a good time.”
