Joe Neri & Blues Dawg
with special guests

Summertime Blues Concert

Friday, June 11, 7:30 pm
$12 advance, $15 door
, $10 seniors

Hot time, summer in the city!

Neri, front man for one of the hottest blues combos in Northern Arizona, has produced and performed in the Holiday Blues Revue for the past two years and the Bob Dylan Birthday party & Concert for the past five years. “This year,” claims Neri, “we need to get our hot Arizona summer off to a hot, rockin’ start with an evening of good old fashioned blues.”

Blues Dawg consists of Neri on guitar and vocals, Hutch Hutchinson on bass and Ed Tortorello on drums. Joining the band for “Summertime Blues” will be Keys Marsh on keyboard and J.J. Corcoran on harmonica and vocals. Special guest Don Whitcher who headlined his own show at OTCA on June 5th, will sit in with Blues Dawg to add his lap steel and slide ‘Telecaster’ work to the mix.

Blues Dawg is a contemporary electric blues band steeped in the traditions of American blues and roots music. Its repertoire consists of both originals and covers, greatly influenced by the great blues masters of Chicago, Memphis, Texas and California.

Founded by Neri in the mid-90’s in Los Angeles, the Blues Dawg played all of the Southern California venues and recorded two studio and three live albums. After moving to Sedona in early 2005, Neri re-formed the band, keeping the same basic sound of covers and original blues.

Don’t miss this great evening of rockin’ blues by some of the very best talent in all of the Verde Valley.
