One Fire Holiday Concert Celtic Indian Flutist/Violinist and Special Guests William Eaton $20 adv, $22 door, $25 priority Celtic Indian Arvel Bird is named one of cowboy and Indians magazine's top 4 favorite naive American musicians. With a musical background rooted in classical violin, Arvel has learned nearly as many styles of music as there are to create a unique blend to reflect his heritage he calls Celtic Indian. As comfortable on native American flute as he is on violin guitar and other instruments, Arvel toured for several years with Glen Campbell, Loretta Lynn, Tom T Hall and other country legends.
For the past 13 years Arvel has toured the U.S.and Internationally and has recently made Cottonwood his home as Co-Founder of Center of Universal Light. Visionary Guitarist William Eaton is acknowledged as one of the world’s great designers and builders of unique guitars and stringed instruments. He is a four-time GRAMMY nominee, NAMMY (Native American Music Awards) winner, and long time recording artist for Canyon Records. Kaleah, a beautiful ethereal singer, songwriter and keyboard player, well known in Verde valley, will be performing a few song selections. Singer/ songwriter and mixed media artist, Wendy Harford, is locally well known for her many community activities and including her unique folky style of music. Arvel will play his own music as well as weave his way in and out of William's, Kaleah's and Wendy's music. Kimberly Kelley, Arvel's wife and musical partner will play her keyboard and bodhran and will sing harmonies on several selections. These five talented performers have created a "performance in the round" program to keep you fully energized, entertained and inspired for the holiday season! |
